How content process, playbooks, and training have accelerated progress for Georgia’s Digital Office

Content Enablement Program Helps Georgia’s Digital Office Empower Authors Across More Than 100 Websites

SITUATION

DSGa engaged Content Science to help state agencies manage content more effectively.

As the go-to resource for the hundreds of staff who manage Georgia government websites, DSGa is responsible for leading content technology, training, and best practices. To better serve the state’s residents, DSGa launched a multi-year initiative to improve content effectiveness, including implementing a new content management system, Drupal 8. The move to Drupal 8 also involved a significant paradigm shift in terms of how they think about and present content to constituents.

SOLUTION

Developing a content playbook, designing a process for agency engagement on content strategy, and providing training on key skills.

We worked with DSGa to assess their situation and create a plan to give individual agencies the right content tools and training, including content intelligence tools for analysis and tracking.

RESULTS

DSGa gained immediate and longer-term benefits from the content playbook and training program.

From Our Client

Content Science worked with the content team to develop an adaptable playbook so that we’re not reinventing the wheel with every agency engagement. Now we feel prepared to lead these content improvement projects on our own, which will result in a better digital experience for all Georgians.
