Content Science quarterly donations - misinformation targeting groups

Atlanta, Georgia – Content Science issued donations for Q2 2024 toward trusted organizations combatting the misinformation that targets specific groups of people in the United States (U.S.)  and around the world.

Content Science chose this focus because the Q2 period features holidays such as Juneteenth, celebrating the end of slavery in the U.S., and Pride Month, celebrating the LGBQT+ community and its contributions.

Content Science gave money to organizations including but not limited to The News Literacy Project and Free Press as they research why this kind of mis/disinformation happens, evaluate its impact, and combat it with education and more.

With an upcoming election and intensified political polarization, mis/disinformation against has proliferated against  communities of color and the LGBTQ+ community

“FreePress recently found that 80% of Americans are concerned about misinformation, and World Economic Forum identified it as the top threat this year,” notes Content Science President Colleen Jones. “I’m excited and honored for Content Science to support outstanding organizations in addressing this profound problem.”

In the spirit of companies like Toms making a donation for every purchase, Content Science is contributing 10% of proceeds from these popular educational online products:

Content Science issues donations each quarter to nonprofits with initiatives aligned with Content Science’s purpose.

“I founded Content Science with the purpose of enabling worthy organizations to make content make a constructive difference in how people feel, decide, act, and live. If misinformation runs rampant online, people will not trust digital channels or content,” says Jones.
