1 in 10 Americans Say Digital Health Content Rescued Them Phillips Healthcare Survey Sheds Light on Trust + Health Innovation

We're keenly interested in credible health content and innovation, so these new research results from Philips Healthcare intrigued us. Americans are open to technology and content in the healthcare experience, but there's still a long way to go before Americans will trust a digital experience almost as much as their doctor. 

We're excited about the potential of digital healthcare innovation, especially with the rise of mobile. But, innovation will lag if content isn't an equal consideration to the technology. Connecting patients and doctors with data dumps or confusing instructions or thoughtlessly misleading information will hurt, not help, the healthcare experience and slow adoption of the innovation. So, here's hoping insisting that this brave new world of digital healthcare is, at Philips might say, sensible enough to include strategic content planning.   Read More >

3 of My [Somewhat] Intelligent Insights from ICC Or, Why I Didn't Get to See Many Palms in Palm Springs

Last week, I participated in the 4th annual Intelligent Content Conference helmed by Scott Abel and Ann Rockley. The intense Palm Springs sun bathed the event in a lovely glow, but I didn't see much of it. The presentations and community of smart people captured my attention and left my mind steeped in ideas. I'm sharing a few of the takeaways that excite me most.

#3 - We're in This Content Mess Together—and We'll Fix It Together

In her keynote "Collaboration Nation," Kristina Halvorson reminded us that the junkpile of content on the interwebs hurts all of us. Most of it is not worth finding, and the stuff that is worth finding is buried, lost, and unappreciated. While those of us who care about content see the potential for it to be a treasure, not trash, at times the problems stacked against us seem overwhelming.
